問1. To: k.moreau@delfinolabs.com
From: service@apexinstrument.com
Subject: Service Visit — Order 88214
Dear Dr. Moreau,
Our technician is scheduled to calibrate your spectrometer on Thursday, March 6, between 10:00 A.M. and noon. Please make sure the instrument has been powered on for at least one hour before the visit, as calibration cannot be performed from a cold start.
The visit is covered by your service contract, so there is no charge. However, if the technician finds that a replacement lamp is needed, that part is billed separately at $310.
Regards,
Apex Instrument Service Team
What is Dr. Moreau asked to do before the visit?
- Turn on the instrument at least an hour in advance
- Pay the service fee online
- Order a replacement lamp
- Move the instrument to another room
問2. To: All Regional Managers
From: Yumi Sato, Director of Operations
Subject: Quarterly Reports — New Deadline
Beginning this quarter, regional reports are due on the fifth business day after the quarter ends, rather than the tenth. The change gives the finance team enough time to consolidate the figures before the board meeting, which has been moved up by one week.
If your region needs an extension, contact me directly — do not simply submit late. Extensions will be granted only where a store opening or closing affects the numbers.
Thank you,
Yumi
Why was the reporting deadline changed?
- A board meeting was rescheduled to an earlier date
- Several regions submitted their reports late
- The finance team was reduced in size
- A new reporting system was introduced
問3. Dear Mr. Nakashima,
Thank you for your letter of August 2 regarding the noise from our loading dock. I want to assure you that we take the concerns of our neighbors seriously.
Effective September 1, no deliveries will be accepted before 7:00 A.M. on weekdays or before 9:00 A.M. on Saturdays. We have also instructed drivers to shut off engines while waiting rather than idling.
We are not able to relocate the dock itself, as the building layout does not permit it, but I hope these steps will make a noticeable difference.
Sincerely,
Angela Ruiz, Site Manager
What does Ms. Ruiz say cannot be done?
- Moving the loading dock to a different location
- Changing the weekday delivery hours
- Instructing drivers to turn off their engines
- Responding to complaints from neighbors
